[turba] synchronization with desktop app?

Not sure I completely understand what your asking for, but why doesn't LDAP 
fit the bill for you?  You could also use an application like Mulberry 
(www.cyrusoft.com) which supports IMSP contacts...which Turba supports as 
well.  Thus you will have all your contacts on one server, with the ability 
to access it either over WAN or LAN (depending on the server set up, of 
course).
