[turba] Address Book observations

What was the setup of your previous address books?  Did you run the  
upgrade scripts if you already had shares enabled?

Was the (newly created?) shared address book added to the  
Administrator's address book prefs?

Yes. Unfortunately, this was necessary for improvements to the share  
code.  When using shares, each share must have a unique name.  Not  
sure if it's possible, but have you tried using something like  
Auth::getAuth() (which returns the currently logged in user's  
username) in prefs.php?
