Can't do anything with tickets

Hi,

I have the latest CVS copy o whups. it is being used with mysql using the 
example database shipped with the whups.

This setup allows me to create tickets but when I try to change the status, 
priority assignments all I see is the text I entered with the change but not 
the change it self.

eg. create a ticket as 'new' followed by change of state to "fixed". when I 
look at the ticket again I see the state still as 'new' but a new entry in the 
journal is made.

I know whups is still in development but I would like to use it in anger at 
some point in the near future...any ideas?
