This has been on my personal todo list for a while, maybe you should 
add an RFE on bugs.horde.org.

If the current version is 2.3, and we revert to version 2.1, the new 
version should be 2.4, not 3.0. If we revert to version 1.x, the new 
version should be 3.0 just like now.
