  handle Japanese without any problem (I am using them every day).   I do not why 
  this software does not have support though it supports other other two-byte code 
  such as Korean and Chinese. I hope it will support Japanese in future."

+ The problem is that we have to pass all data that we want to display through 
+ htmlspecialchars(). This works currently only with EUC-JP not with iso-2022. 
+ Until someone adds iso-2022 support into htmlentities() or we get some unicode
