------- Additional Comments From arthur@nji.com 09/29/02 23:43 -------
I use imap-2001a-10 because this is RedHat 7.3

NEW INFO: I started from scratch and this time no tar files, all RPMS
and same config problem whete http:/host.com/horde/test.php
works only when hostname has the /notls BUT no way to login either
through the horde method (yes I did md5) (usr/pass just ignred) or the
registry/imp/single login (imp page times out).

My last resort is to use non-standard RPMS as suggested elsewhere by one person
who claims to ahve gotten RH7.3 to actually install properly when they replaced
RedHat php rpms with rpms from http://rpms.arvin.dk

...but then I take the risk of running non-standard RedHat
where I will want to integrate systems other than horde -- so using
non RedHat rpms seems very unwise even if it means to get horde possibly
able to install --

WHAT WEIRD IS: WHY IS NO ONE STEPPING FORWARD SAYONG THAT THEY INSTALLED
THE RPMS ON RH7.3 AND THEY WORKED? THE ONLY PERSON WE HAVE IS SOMEONE WHO
RELEIED ON NON-REDHAT RPMS -- SO FAR I STILL SAY HORDE/IMP CAN'T BE INSTALLED
ON RH7.3 -- ANY TAKERS ???

rh7.3 has got to be the most *important* distribution if not simply
because of most popular for new installs and thus most tested by developers.
