I created the following filter:

Move messages to the bookmarks folder where the To: field contains
bookmarks at hodgman.info

and set this option to true:

Apply filter rules when mailbox is refreshed?

When I returned to the mailbox and displayed the sent-mail folder, every
matching mail item was moved out of sent-mail to my bookmarks folder.  I
would expect filters to only operate on the inbox or at least have the
option to control this.
