Aren't these folders with the forward slash being created via Outlook?  If
so, Outlook doesn't use IMAP to connect to an Exchange server.  So maybe
it's a case that Microsoft's proprietary Exchange connection protocol allows
forward slashes while IMAP doesn't, so exchange simply doesn't offer the
folder name when connecting via IMAP.
