When ONLY certain spam is present, notably from "Vaness J. Smith"
<various at various.tld> or "Paul A. Davis" <various at various.tld>, the inbox
total will display 0. (These aliases are used prolifically... search these
names and they seem to be in every mailing list)  Also, when using a mail
client such as Microsoft Outlook when this condition exists, the attempt to
receive mail generates a timeout error and the mail (spam) is not received. 
So far I have not been able to get the filters to trash this spam upon
arrival either.
