I analyzed the problem, but couldn't come up with a bright idea how to solve
it:
IMP::getNamespace() is assuming that a folder that doesn't belong to a
specific namespace belongs to the empty namespace, if one exists. With
Cyrus, the shared namespace is empty by default, i.e. if not using
"altnamespace".
This causes IMP::folderPref() to not match preference folders like "Trash"
with the personal namespace which would be the correct outcome, but the
shared namespace. As a result, the folder preferences aren't prefixed with
"INBOX.".
