running IMP - we are mostly a Plone house and the PHP apps are, mostly,

What seems to happen is that IMP gets the correct message count, but the
mailbox shows as if it was empty. More interesting is the way the problem
happens: seemingly a random mailbox starts showing the problem more or
less at a random time. The only way to "cure" the mailbox is to recreate
it (it is safe to copy the messages back to the new one).
