I am using horde 5.1.2 with all latest upgrades installed on a Debian

horde is configured to use the local SMTP server and ActiveSync is  
using the latest protocol version 14.1 with Outlook 2013 x64.
Apart from the performance with big mailboxes everything is working  
well exept the fact that sometimes Outlook is sending outgoing mails  
twice; it seems the application does not get the information that the  
message was already processed and then the message stays in the outbox  
until Outlook attempts to send the message again.
Is there any way to fix this issue?
