The Horde Team is proud to announce the official release of Chora 1.0!

Chora 1.0 is the first release of the Horde CVS viewing application,
which enables Horde-based projects to expose their development and
versioning systems via the web.

Chora 1.0 should be considered a production-level release. The code
has undergone a strict testing cycle in the form of a number of public
release candidates.

Chora 1.0 includes a number of key features, such as:

    - complete integration with the Horde Application Framework
    - full internationalization support via GNU gettext
    - MIME viewing capabilities, to convert PDFs to HTML for example
    - Pretty-printing source code
    - Viewing the revision history of a file
    - Visual branching mode, to view the fork history of a file
    - greatly-enhanced user interface

Chora 1.0 includes full text translations for a number of localizations,
including:

    Brazilian Portuguese
    Czech
    Dutch
    French
    German
    Norwegian Bokmaal
    Polish
    Spanish
    Swedish

The Chora 1.0 release can be downloaded from the following locations:

    ftp://ftp.horde.org/pub/chora/
    ftp://ftp.uk.horde.org/mirrors/ftp.horde.org/pub/chora

Note that Chora 1.0 requires the Horde Application Framework 2.0, which
can be obtained from:

    ftp://ftp.horde.org/pub/horde/

i have a quick, possibly stupid ;), question. is there a special trick
to having chora read the entries in the 'cvsusers' file? i copied and
pasted from the cvsusers file i saw on the horde site but i still get
only the login names (no long mailto names in the revision history). my
cvs repositories reside in '/local/cvsroot' and my entry in cvsroots.php
looks like so:=20

$cvsroots['Repository'] =3D array(
    'name' =3D> 'The repository',
    'location' =3D> '/local/cvsroot',
    'title' =3D> 'The repository',
    'cvsusers' =3D> 'CVSROOT/cvsusers',
    'default' =3D> true
);

and the cvsusers file is in /local/cvsroot/CVSROOT/cvsusers

what am i missing??

thanks!

out syntax highlighted text when viewing perl scripts, python scripts
etc?

thanks a bunch!

You need to enable the encript mime driver in mime_drivers.php.

thanks jan - are there some notes for doing that somewhere (other than
the ones in the mime_drivers.php file itself, i'm afraid i didn't quite
grok those...)? i assume these two lines need to be changed/added to?

$mime_drivers_map['chora']['registered'] =3D array('text');
$mime_drivers['chora']['text']['handles'] =3D array(
        'text/plain');

No, the enscript driver is already defined in horde/config/mime_driver.php.
Depending on what version of Horde you use you must uncomment the lines
containing the enscript driver and/or enter the correct location of the
enscript executable.
