The whitespace is the main culprit.  I've know about this problem for
a while, but it comes up so infrequently, it never became a priority.
 
Coincidentally, I started rewriting the CVSROOT scripts in Python the
other day (sort of as an exercise).  I haven't gotten to the
log_accum.pl script yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to give this
problem some attention.

I've looked at it before, by the way, and there wasn't an "easy" fix.
Essentially, filenames are passed around in the log_accum.pl script as
a space-separated list, so some serious changes are in order.
