comments on invalid IMAP folder names

So I'm working on a resolution of this bug:

And I was wondering if you guys think it'd be safe to implement the automatic
renaming idea? Or, what you think a decent error message would be, on the level
of a typical user? The suggested message seems a bit technical to me...
