Okay, try now. Oh, and stripslashes, as far as I know, only strips backslashes. 
And that's not what was needed - the problem was things being passed through 
imap_rfc822_write_address() twice. I need to write a Mail_rfc822::writeAddress
() that's smart enough to handle that, and also apparently need to work on 
parseAddressList's handling of personal info, but that's for another day. =)
