Chuck and I had a brief conversation about that not too long ago.
We'll probably do something along those lines soon, or at least
look at alternative solutions.

There isn't one now, but we may see about starting one - it'd be great to start
getting translations for Turba, etc.

Subject: Fwd: [php-xml] ANN: SOAPx4 - SOAP Client for PHP
It would be pretty cool if we could make some Horde services available via
SOAP, or have remote drivers for things like Kronolith and Nag that accessed
calendars/task lists on other Horde installations via SOAP.
Anyone feel like diving into this? =)

This would make a good 2.3 preference. Anyone up for adding it?

Is there any possibility for adding a option, where users can choose
their
timezone in the setup and it would allways show the right time, at the
place
where they are.
I do travel a lot, right now i'm travelling frequently between Denmark
and
California and it would be nice to have that kind of option, also
because i've
got some customers outside the timezone of the server, which are using
the
webmail service.
I could maybe patch IMP myself to that (i've already done that with
implementing the fortune cookie automatically below), but the idea was
more to
see, how many users could be interested in such a function.

Martin List-Petersen

Subject: Fwd: [core] text wrapping
This can sometimes cause problems; also, our text wrapping function isn't very
smart. Anyone think that having a wrap lines at preference would be a good
idea? Anyone up for adding it?
Also, anyone up for making Text::wrap() (I _think_ that's what we use; if not,
we should <g>) smarter (don't have so many words alone on lines - fill
paragraphs better, etc.)?

To: imp-team@horde.org
First off, IMP is great. Lots of people are using it and I
haven't seen any better software for web mail.
I am writing because of something that keeps bothering me.
Everytime I get e-mail from an IMP user their text is wrapped to
exactly 80 columns and so when I reply to their text I have to
'gq' in vi to re-wrap the text I have quoted before I reply.
I just checked out the IMP HEAD from cvs and I see this is still
the default in 2.3. I urge you to wrap at 65 characters, which
is the length suggested by RFC 1855 (Netiquette Guidelines).
This gives ample room for a number of replies without fixing
people's text for them. Thank you, and keep up the good work.
- Doug
