Michael, I think that what you are doing is great. I like your
approach. The end results should be very flexible.
Something I have noticed with a cvs of head about 30 minutes old,
if an email has no attachments everything is normal.
If I get a doc attachment, as of today, wvHtml is not able to open it.
I can now save it to disk. Then I can use wvHtml/openoffice/xwp etc
with no problem. Don't understand why wvHtml can't open it inline.
The really cool part is that I see no message body now only the attachment,
but when I do a reply I now see the original message that now shows up as:
|
| ------=_NextPart_001_000E_01C1F5AE.E3876360
| Content-Type: text/plain;
| charset="Windows-1252"
| Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
So to read an email that has a .doc attachment I have to open the compose
window with reply :-) Has anyone else seen this?
Any suggestions?
Another curious detail. If the sender sent the email also in html the reply
also contains:
| ------=_NextPart_001_000E_01C1F5AE.E3876360
| Content-Type: text/html;
| charset="Windows-1252"
| Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
|
| <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
| <HTML><HEAD>
| <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; =
| charset=3Dwindows-1252">
| <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2715.400" name=3DGENERATOR>
| <STYLE></STYLE>
| </HEAD>
with all the html garbage.
Again have I not configured something new?
Thanks,
ed
