Hmm. I'll try and poke at this more later, but I think it's a really bad 
idea to store uploaded attachments in the sessioncache - no one's session 
store is meant to hold a 5 MB binary file.

What was wrong with leaving the files on the filesystem, or in the VFS, and 
generating everything when sending the message?
