[dev] Consistency in UI texts

FYI: the .pot files in the po directories are not only helpful for
translators but also for programmers because they (ideally) contain all
strings and texts that are presented to the users in the ui.

It's easy to find inconsistencies in the wording, spelling errors and other
odd things by reading them from time to time.
