Personally, this particular method would be far better IMHO, however,
allowing it to function in the same manner as most GUI menus in that
there would be submenus (instead of a click to show new items on the
existing menu, it would open another div that is a further submenu).
The only issue with this is that you will intentionally disable this
functionality in non-DHTML compliant browsers. That may not be an issue,
but it is worth mentioning I believe.
If you're interested, I've got the code to do all of this already (used
it on a couple of sites), and could hack up a Horde menu in the similar
to Style 2 that would function identically to the MS Windows Start menu,
KDE K Menu, et. al..
