Well, I was thinking "why would you need this options" until I read further...

Given this scenario, your point makes sense. My galleries are open to the
public, so needing authentication for guests hadn't occurred to me.

I just don't like the idea of a guest having to sift through the 15+
applications I have installed trying to determine to which they have access. I
guess the best way to satisfy both sides would be to list all available
applications, but have some indication of which are available for guests. I
don't know how to accomplish that, though.
