Woo! Thanks very, very much. I'm sure that there are going to be some kinks to
work out, but this looks really really good, and I've committed it.

The SQL driver seems to work okay, though mostly I made sure that existing
functionality still works. However, this is going to be yet another thing
that's really hard to do with the MCAL driver. Does anyone still use MCAL? I'm
wondering if we should just ditch the driver.
