[dev] datatree/attributes limitations

I'm trying to track down some peculiar problem. I'm loading data into a datatree
object, storing it all as attributes. However, a) I can't get it all to load b)
while it is loading the number loaded fluctuates. It is as if it does not get a
chance to write all the attributes back into the SQL, but only a part...

The amount of data is quite large, roughly 4000 records, consisting of
name+email.

So the thought came to mind, would there be any potential limit for datatree
objects? or some limit with Datatree attributes SQL statements?
