[dev] Candidates for 1.X releases

I've been following some of the discussion on the WHUPS list about
release management and would like to ask what are potential candidates
for modules for release? For instance, I've been using wicked and
ansel in production (the former much more than the latter). Both are
stable and feature-rich enough to warrant a 1.X release, in my opinion
- you have to start somewhere. I imagine there are other modules too
that I'm not using that are of the same caliber. Other than stretching
development resources thinner in supporting "official" releases of
modules (more modules = more resources needed, but may also attract
more users), what else would be needed to move this forward? Also, for
consistency's sake, with the current X.1 RC's dropping, would these
modules be 1.0 or 1.1? If the former, you run the risk of confusing a
user base that tries to match point releases, but maybe thats not an
issue, since I know that gollem is currently at 1.0.2. If the latter,
you're forced to skip a version, but maybe that doesn't matter.
