Good idea, Duck.  I'm wondering how Juno (originally to be accounting, 
IIRC.) might fit into the mix?  In fact, something like 
http://weberp.org might be the long term plan.  That would make it 
possible to integrate, what I would consider to be the best php 
accounting and initial erp app in opensource as a backend for hermes, 
sesha, merk, midas, etc. while adding quite a bit to the ERP and CRM 
areas.

I know very little about merk but I do see a real need for an ecommerce 
front end for a backend accounting, inventory control, etc. backend.  
AFAIK, there are none.  (It would be great if someone would prove me 
wrong on that.)  Ansel, giapeto, etc. would have their work cut out for 
them too, in the integration.
