Okay. Here is my essential point:

I need to be able to create container folders.

That's it. If you forbid delimiters in folder names, I have no way of  
doing that. So I'm suggesting instead of forbidding them, a  
confirmation dialog explaining what will happen and asking the user to  
confirm.
