[dev] Ansel's download gallery as .zip issue

Has anyone else run into this?  When downloading an Ansel gallery as 
.zip, the images that were uploaded using xppublish are broken in the 
zip file.  I am assuming (and I have not looked into this at all yet, so 
I could be totally wrong), that the issue is due to the fact the during 
xppublish, the images do not get proper filenames - that is, they are 
assigned a random name with no file extension...am I going down the 
right path here?
