[dev] Importan proposal to change Horde at User Interface (UI) Level

Hi friends,

Excuse me, I sent this email to horde at lists.horde.org mistakenly.

We was analysing with chuck, but we will appreciate the opinion of
other core developer.

We get change completely the User Interface of Horde, using for
example the pretty default template of Drupal!!
Although I think that the wordpress' templates strategy is more
flexible and will be a better solution.

We have other proposals like: add plugins to Horde applications and
allow multiple version of applications layout.

Think for a moment the importance of this changes:
- Designers of templates can work with all freedom, including the
application elements allocation.
- The application can grow in functionalities with more freedom using plugins.
- Can be created a web directoy of templates and web directory of
plugins and templates by applications.
- Together of the Horde frameworks, the developers will find a
flexible presentation layer, so the use of the framework must grow.

We like Horde very much, but the actual UI is a serious limitation for
us, we are designing all ours PHP solutions on Horde framework and
applictions,
but we are very interesting in standardize our proposal in Horde to
keep compatibility with all applications and to can contribute and
feedback with the community.

We are working on an "Intranet model based on free software
technologies", Intranet as integration of the LAN environment , not as
a central LAN website.
To this model we propose the "Horde framework and applications" in the
server side for PHP technologies, together many other free software
technologies,
servers and applications, including the development and integration
between "Mozilla technologies and applications" with "Horde framework
and applications".
