IIRC, we have never allowed CTRL-KEY (outside of CTRL-A) because they  
override built-in browser actions.  For example, CTRL-N opens a new  
browser window, a common action.  Or did you mean ALT-KEY actions?

I don't object.  Although if someone implements this, I would rather  
have a way to make this portable and easily configurable across  
applications rather than hard-coding into application code.
