I'm not much of a web developer but will hook up the iPad to a Mac and  
see what the new debug console in iOS6 has to say :)

It's most certainly a bug... with Safari.  I don't know if any
developer has an iPad to test with, so you will likely need to develop
a workaround and provide a patch.
