[Doc] contributing umich IMP docs

I guess the first question is what is the source format for the docs? 
SGML, HTML, Word, etc.? Ideal would be docbook, and the ability for us to 
commit them to the hordedoc/ tree in CVS, so that multiple people can work 
on it, we can branch out to other applications, etc...
