Okay, the above change makes dot-files show up for me with unix ftp servers.

But now I've got a million dot-files showing up in my listing. Any one
mind if we make a "show dot files?" preferences setting, and use it when
we get the list to either get/ignore the dot-files?

Also, can anyone confirm is "list -al" works on most/all unix ftp servers?
It does works for all unix servers I know of, but does not work for
most OpenVMS servers, for example, so I'm not sure how standard it is.
