 | Hello all,
 |
 | Hoping you guys could give me a pointer on where to look, as I am a little
 | out of my depth on this subject.
 |
 | I need to install the ldap module, into the Apache configuration, so I can
 | get turba to ldap look-ups.

You don't need this for turba. All you need is an ldap server and then
configure turba to use it. An apxs mod_ldap module is to use the ldap
server for authenticating with apache rather than /etc/password or htpasswd
files. Really doesn't have much to do with turba.

 |
 | I have gotten as far as knowing that I need to create the module with the
 | use of apxs. but I have no clue what options or module_code I should be
 | using, and even if I need to install a ldap server or not (considering I
 | want to access ldap servers elsewhere on the web only)

You need an ldap server somewhere. You might want to try openldap.
http://www.openldap.org
 |
 | So any clues where I should look for installing ldap module by apxs much
 | appreciated!

I use this module for apache1.3 and apache2 and there are some
mini-howto's that I think are good on the site.

I hope this helps get you started.
