[horde] Rsync problem on Win32

This may be slightly OT, and if so, I apologise and am happy to be
directed elsewhere...

I am anxiously waiting on a Linux box (where I know everything will
work).  But while I do, I am developing on a Windows XP Pro machine.  I
have downloaded and installed the Cygwin libraries, and am trying to
rsync the horde cvs.  I kick it off, either using

rsync -avC rsync.horde.org::horde-cvs C:/repository/horde/

or running sh horde-rsync.sh from the command line.
Either way, things seem to go okay  - I get a message about receiving
file lists, but then nothing further happens.

Can anyone suggest what might be the issue?
