[horde] CVS and updating

I have been trying to use the update tool that is in the horde directory to
keep my CVS setup current.  However, I seem to have trouble keeping the
config files so they are not totally screwed up when I do the update.

Does anyone have any pointers on using this particular tool?  I'm not
COMPLETELY ignorant with regard to what it is doing, but I seem to keep
messing up the installation everytime I do an update.
