[horde] password no longer recognized

Only to apache?  How about to php?

Apache upgrades shouldn't matter, unless maybe they clobber your certificate
files or something.  PHP upgrades are a different thing...

Only advice without knowing more is try the protocol switches in 
horde/imp/config/servers.php such as /notls or /novalidatecert since
the upgrade may have changed authentication processs or certificates.
