Sounds like you didn't set the 'basedn' for your ldap server in your
horde configuration.

Edit your horde/config/horde.php (or if CVS HEAD then horde/config/conf.php)
and find the $conf['auth']['params'] array.  Add an entry for your ldap
basedn setting.
