Looks like you misconfigured it.  Didn't update your config/*.php files from
the config/*.php.dist files, made a typo while doing so, or didn't reconfigure
the apps with the admin configuration tool.

Yes.

Now you add two lines to horde/config/conf.php with no change to the
registry.php file.  It is documented in the conf.php file.
