[horde] DOMXML - libxml2 vs QtDOM

Hello list ...

I have a question that's probably dumb but I'm going to ask it anyway because
libxml is killing my PHP install (again) and preventing apache from starting. 
Very frustrating ...

Anyway, for DOMXML does Horde HAVE to use LibXml2 or is QtDOM ok to use?  Am I
wasting my time even looking at it?
