Sorry, If I've had think about it....
I've just tryed with Basic Auth (.htpasswd) and SQL Auth, and both give 
me the same result :
 - if I give a true login/passwd, it gets me back to login.php
 - if I give a false login/passwd, it gets me back to login.php, with 
the "connection refused".

So my problem is not with IMAP... have you any clues ? I'm going to 
search in the FAQ/Lists/Google in the meantime.
