[horde] Undefined Index when activating Preferences

I feel ignorant now - I've changed the php.ini error_log to syslog as
well as /var/log/phperr.log with and without quotes.
I've restarted httpd2 each time and I'll be darn if I can not get a
php.log.  
While I'm talking about ignorance, how do I stay in a thread instead of
creating a new one?
Do I have to modify the subject some way?     Sorry all.
