Hi again.
Horde/IMP gurus, please read through and share your thoughts!
The situation is coming to be very interesting...
First I have noticed today that HORDE/IMP working fine ... when I was
working from WORK.
My first emotion was ...what's happened?! I've changed nothing but it
works...
Now I have tried to bypass login stage in Horde/IMP again from home - the
same results - blank pages and redirect not working (no errors are produced
in horde and httpd logs)
This made me thinking that problem appears to be CLIENT-side related
problem, however, it's somehow associated with Horde as well.
I've decided to perform test fropm different clients... Results are talking
for themselves! See below:
So the results are:
1st client configuration: Win98, IE5.5
Horde/IMP is working fine
2nd configuration: Windows2000 Prof SP4, IE 6.0, not all updates are applied
Horde/IMP is working fine
3rd configuration: Windows2000 Server SP4, IE 6.0, ALL available updates are
applied
Horde/IMP is working fine
4th configuration (HOME): WindowsXP Prof, SP2, IE 6.0, ALL updates applied.
Machine was installed with SP2 embedded distributive
Horde/IMP is not working correctly (empty page after login details submit)
I should also mention that I have tried to disable firewall service,
Antivirus software (to be sure that nothing is blocked by the OS and
antivirus programs) I have also ttried to reset security in IE to LOW to
ensure all security checks / optimizations disabled on machine... NO RESULT.
Next I've tried to install Opera browser to check if the problem is really
IE related...
An know what?! HORDE/Imp is working from Opera!
So now it's obvious that at least in my case the problem is somehow related
with IE 6 on my XP-SP2 machine...
Exact affected IE version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158
Does anyone have any ideas?
I can provide the test login in order for you to test how is it working for
you.
This applies to those of you who had EXACTLY the same IE version and XP
setup (XP Pro distributive with embedded SP2 used for pc installation), and
for those who just have XP PRO SP2 with ALL updates APPLIED. All other
client configurations are known to be fine.
Sergey
