[horde] upgrade and "failed login"

I have setup a cvs install of horde from a few days ago and can't get 
it to let me login using the su method.

I was looking for some ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem.

It is an upgraded from horde 3.0.

I am getting some error entries that say "failed login"...but I'm not 
sure what might be causing it to fail.
