applications listed there<<<<<

HOLY %^%$!! :-)

Wow, there's a lot of stuff there to configure! <shudder> <tremble> :-)

I have no idea what to put in about 98 percent of the stuff there.

Is there any documentation that describes those config items from a horde /
turba perspective and lists how to configure them? I know that a few of
them include links to click on to get a web page that explains them, but
only a very few... most of them just ask a question with no hint as to what
might be the "right" answer.

I can guess at a few of them and some of the others, like Kolab Groupware
Server, are clearly not applicable, but I can see lots and lots of
potential for screwing things up like you read about. <gulp>

Should I set up a separate MySQL account for myself, with administrator
rights, or should I just use "Administrator" to handle things?

Should I set up both of the superuser passwords in MySQL first, before I
mess with any of the horde / turba stuff, or does that get taken care of in
the horde setups under Authentication? In other words can I put what I
want in Authentication->"The password to use for the user's credentials",
or is that supposed to match up with one of the MySQL superuser passwords?

Are the things that are marked with a red star mandatory, and everything
else optional?

Also not sure about what exactly is meant by "store and validate the IP
address of the client"... if that means doing a reverse DNS lookup to
verify that the IP address corresponds with a real hostname as known to
DNS, then I can see lots of potential for failure there from hosts whose
IPs aren't registered with DNS.

Sure is a lot to do here... ;-)
