Hey list,

I'm kinda' new to horde (and php) and I would like to try it out.
In addition, I would like to collect experience in this matter
and put it all into an easy to install rpm package for rpm-
based Linux distro's, starting with SuSE Linux 10.1.

I've tried the horde-webmail package, and succeeded in building
an rpm package, install it and use it. Brilliant work BTW!
(for interested parties, the rpm is available at linadd.org).

Now I'm moving on to the CVS version of things. I've checked out
horde, framework, and a few components, like DIMP and so on from CVS.

Following the instructions on the horde wiki, I then try to do:

# cd /opt/horde/framework
# ./install-packages.php
Installing UI:
Unknown channel "pear.horde.org"
Parsing of package.xml from file "/opt/horde/framework/UI/package.xml"
failed
Cannot initialize '/opt/horde/framework/UI/package.xml', invalid or
missing package file
Package "/opt/horde/framework/UI/package.xml" is not valid
install failed

...and I'm totally lost. I checked my setup for potential
network problems, but there seems to be none:

# host pear.horde.org
pear.horde.org is an alias for www.horde.org.
www.horde.org is an alias for nadia.horde.org.

rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 189.968/205.356/220.745/15.395 ms

Any ideas appreciated, and please forgive me for the newbie status:)
