[horde] Login Failure - virtual users

This question was probably asked and answered, but my searches produced lots
of posts that didn't help me.

If someone could explain one thing, I should be able to solve this on my
own.

I may have two problems making this more difficult. I have my server nailed
down so only SSL connections are possible. However troubleshooting is
difficult, because I'm not sure I'm using the correct login name and
password in the first place. I've removed SSL only settings but login still
fails. I'm not sure if that is because I need to be more thorough, or
because I have incorrect user/password.

I'm using Postfix/Dovecot with virtual users. Everything works on the
server, except now I'm trying to add Horde Groupware Network Edition. Should
I be using one of the virtual logins to get into the Horde administrative
GUI? As I only have virtual users, I'm not sure what other login would work.
I've tried root and other real users to no avail.
