Hello
Everybody
My
website
provider
uses
Horde
Webmail
which
is
great.
Now
I
really
would
like
to
have
"graphical
emoticons"
and
I
saw
that
the
horde
webmail
includes
those.
Therefore
I
asked
my
website
provider
to
add
them.
But
he
says,
I
would
have
to
do
it
myself.
Kind
of
lost
here
as
I
do
not
just
want
to
install
a
new
webmail
on
the
server,
scared
I
could
loose
all
my
kept
mail.
Is
there
a
chance
I
can
only
install
the
'graphical
emoticons'?
If
not,
how
would
I
have
to
install
the
webmail
software?
Thanks
a
mill!
pothound

To
avoid
a
possible
misunderstanding:
Webmail
can
display
a
limited
collection
of
emoticons,
such
as
?:-)?,
via
little
graphics;
Webmail
does
nothing,
in
this
respect,
for
outgoing
mail,
the
emoticons
are
sent
as
you
have
typed
them.

Apparently,
you
assume
that
you
have
to
install
something.
But
have
you
checked
the
Options
menu
(German:
?Einstellungen?),
already?

Most
probably,
you
just
have
to
activate,
in
the
?Options
for
Mail?
/
?Message
Viewing?
menu,
the
?Convert
textual
emoticons
into
graphical
ones??
option
(?Einstellungen
f?r
Webmail?
/
?Nachrichten-
ansicht?
/
?Text-Emoticons
in
grafische
umwandeln??).

Good
luck,

Otto
Stolz

Hello Otto Stolz
Thanks! Well it worked in the way that now I can see the graphical emoticons on all my sent email but the ones who receive my mail can not see them but only e.g. ':-)'
Is that the only way that works?
Thanks!
