[horde] dovecot acl file manipulation

Hi @ll
dovecots acl imap is based on files
either in a special folder on the file system or directly
in Maildir folders.
Would it be possible to edit
this files over i.e ftp from some Horde gui

idea:

with vsftp it possible to limit the ftp connect
to localhost and edit files
in i.e a domain named acl folder as the vmail user
other existing mail users may found building
an array of their usernamed mailboxes on the file system.

there are other setups existing
for edit users .forward or .procmail files over ftp
from webmail clients
so this edit way it isnt new at all


anybody thought implementing dovecot acls allready in horde?
is there a chance sombody might do it ?
