That's a very bad idea to put foreign chars in the password. In fact, if
you use that, you will be dependent on OS setup. If you are using an
UTF8 system, you will send 2 bytes instead of one. As password matching
is byte oriented, you can't match. Your passwords were probably coded
using ISO8859-1. We have to use bytes <127
I suppose that if you try to login from an UTF8 system using the same
accounts, you will have the problem. That's not a horde problem from my
point of view.
Your password changing system should avoid this. I've done this for my
french users a long time ago.
